WELCOME TO BYRON CENTER CHAMBER's ONLINE RESOURCE FOR INFORMATION. Community Newsletter ~ January/February Chamber Newsletter The
Center Line February/March Newsletter Dear Chamber Member, It is with a sense of bitter sweetness that I write you. After almost 11 years as your Director. I will be stepping down the end of May. My heart and head are being led in a new direction. I have volunteered for over two years with an organization, CommunityLink, an independent 501c3 outreach organization of my church, Grand Rapids International Fellowship. In collaboration with community partners, Bethany Christian Services and Lutheran Social Services, CommunityLink is involved with refugee acculturation and English Language Learning. This past summer I was hired part-time to work within the organization and as recently as 10 days ago I accepted additional responsibilities. I am very excited about this opportunity and I trust you will all wish me well. However, it is not without some sadness that I say good-bye as your director. The many, many relationships I have formed by meeting and working alongside each of you will be treasured always. You have stepped up to make your community a better place to live and work, and for that I say thank-you. I look forward to continuing as a Byron Center resident and will stay involved as my time allows. Please be assured the Chamber Board of Directors will diligently seek a replacement that will continue to work with each of you to keep our chamber, community and its’ businesses to a high standard. Attached is the employment ad that is being placed in the ADVANCE. We are sending it to you, as you are the front line of Byron Center and may know of a qualified candidate. Hope to see each of you in the coming months. Sincerely, Louise
